When you join LGPNS, you join not only a great preschool but a community of people who all strive to give their children the best introduction to school. We assign a returning family as a "buddy" to all new families to help them with any questions they may have. And, of course, we have a lot of fun events held throughout the year. The year kicks off with a meet and greet picnic, followed by our annual all-school halloween party, holiday breakfast and all-school train trip at the end of the year. The Fantasy Faire is a true community building event, and the Spring Fling is a great night out for our parents to socialize and get to know one another. Many people join the school in hopes that their child will make friends to last a lifetime, what they are surprised to find out is how many friends they themselves have made.
Since the co-op is run by its members, there are many opportunities to help shape the preschool. An elected governing Board comprised of members makes decisions that ensure the long- and short-term success of the school. Parents are always welcome to share their ideas regarding curriculum, and can share their special talents with the children in the classroom if they wish.
